Drawers Off - A life drawing show with a twist (As seen on Channel 4)

The human body is not inherently sexual. The reason I loved participating in Drawers Off is because it makes you rethink the constant rhetoric we’ve been fed for so long. Whenever we see flesh we think of lust and attraction but that’s incredibly reductive and harmful. Our body is a work of art; every scar, every curve and every feature, tells a unique story of who we are and the journey it took to get to where we are and I find that so beautiful.

Being a live model in Drawers Off was so important to me because representation is significant and I want the world to see me as I am - vulnerable yet still powerful.

When you see me, see my rich melanin, see my charms, see my strength but see beyond that - in that figure in front of you I want you to see my story, my heritage and how proud I am in the amazing person I have become.

Through being on this show, I’m glad that I have been able to inspire so many people to want to be more creative and that’s invaluable to me.

Don't worry if you've missed the show, you'll be able to catch all of Solomon's episodes on Channel 4.
